The BDog2 occurrence is situated in the Bulldog Creek valley bottom, 6 kilometres upstream (southeast) of Portland Canal and 13 kilometres south of the town of Stewart, B.C.

The area is underlain by diorite and minor quartz diorite and granodiorite of the Eocene Coast Plutonic Complex. These plutonic rocks have intruded and contain local remnants of Lower Jurassic Hazelton Group volcanic and sedimentary rocks. Occasionally andesite and quartz monzonite dikes intrude the diorite.

The BDog2 showing consists of angular float 30 by 10 centimetres in size of a limonitic quartz vein with 3 to 5 per cent pyrite and minor chalcopyrite, galena, and sphalerite.

In 2010, a rock and silt sampling program on the Bulldog Creek property was conducted by Nanika Resources and 119 rock and 3 silt samples were collected; rock samples included 14 grab, 11 chip and 94 float samples. Mineralization is associated with quartz veins, quartz cemented breccias, stockwork and skarn. Sulphides include mostly pyrite with much less sphalerite, galena, and chalcopyrite.
